Ten Tors

Ten Tors is the largest youth participation outdoor event in the UK and takes place in May every year.  400 teams of six intrepid young people challenge themselves to complete wild camping and trekking in the wilderness terrain of Dartmoor, covering 35, 45 or 55 miles over two days.   They do this entirely unsupported.  Teams train for 6-9 months prior to the event and in Mid-Devon District we are perfectly placed to train and compete in the event every year.  Our dedicated Ten Tors Explorer Unit, led by Andy Ellis and Banger Bending, have been training teams for the past 10 years and are proud to say have had all of our participants complete the challenge during this time.
